It was one of the best Sunday of this march. I had just returned back from my hometown after the Holi Holidays and was anxiously looking forward to this unique tri-city Indiblogger meet organized by Kotak Mahindra.
This was a Kotak Exclusive launch event. Launching a new bank product in a bar may look little outrageous to many but I am quite sure that like me 600 more bloggers from Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi would have also loved it.
I attended the Delhi chapter of the meet. Here the venue was B-Bar.
I walked in with one of my blogger friend. After the usual registration we rushed immediately to the bar and got ourselves the first drink of the noon. Thereafter we took a seat and mingled with fellow bloggers. This was my second bloggers meet and their were quite a few familiar faces in the crowd.
Indiblogger team was great as always. Indeed this one being a tri-city meet their were only two of them, Karthik and Rennie, at the place.
At the start we had a selfie contest after which their was some Karaoke session with the Kotak Jifi song over the screen. Bloggers shook their legs( primarily the head) at those beats. The atmosphere was all set for the great launch.
Then we were live tuned to Mumbai where a celebrity guest was expected to join in the launch party. It was the famous Indian novelist Chetan Bhagat. He joined in and was welcomed with a warm applause.
When he was told that it is also being also telecast live to Delhi and Banglore launch also, his apt reply was," Are they also drunk?" And of course we were!!!
He launched and introduced the audience with new way of social banking- Kotak Jifi.
We had an in house question and answer round on this banking technology with Mr. Deepak who had come all the way from Kotak Mahindra to explain the nitty-gritty of this new social banking platform.
Even after a free bar at their disposal many bloggers were sane enough to ask some serious question and he happily obliged. The doubts were cleared and we were offered introductory rewards for joining the Kotak Jifi revolution then and their.
After this a delicious lunch was served and we bloggers parted our ways with all those great Indi-blogger T-Shirts. It indeed was a memorable meet.
